Why Is Game of Thrones So Popular? 7 Reasons: A blog that discusses these reasons.

Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) is a wealthy 17-year-old girl who attends Beverly Hills High School with her friends Dionne (Stacey Dash), Tai (Brittany Murphy) and Murray (Donald Faison). Cher’s world is turned upside down when her ex-stepbrother Josh returns home from reform school after his father dies in a car accident. Cher tries to help him adjust but soon finds herself falling for him again despite their history together as she tries to get over him for good

The Craft

The Craft is a 1996 American supernatural horror film directed by Andrew Fleming and starring Robin Tunney, Neve Campbell and Fairuza Balk. The film follows four Catholic schoolgirls who form a coven of witches after one of them becomes possessed by an ancient evil spirit.

The film was released on April 12, 1996 in the United States. It was a box office success grossing $55 million worldwide against its $15 million budget with generally positive reviews from critics upon release; however some felt that the ending was overly melodramatic or cliched

Cruel Intentions

Cruel Intentions is a movie about a boy and girl who are in love, but the girl is being courted by the boy’s stepbrother. The bad boy wants to ruin the good boy’s chances with the girl.

She’s All That

She’s All That is a 1999 teen comedy film directed by Robert Iscove, and written by R. Lee Fleming, Jr.. It stars Freddie Prinze Jr., Rachel Leigh Cook, Matthew Lillard and Michelle Williams. The movie follows the story of an unpopular high school student named Zack who is given an opportunity to win over his crush Madison after she gets dumped by her jock boyfriend for being too “uncool”. He does this by pretending to be someone else entirely: a popular guy named Dean.

Never Been Kissed

This movie is about a high school student who lies about her experience with boys to get a job at the school paper. She then has to prove that she can write and interview people, but she doesn’t have any actual experiences. It’s a great movie for teens because it teaches them that it’s okay not to be perfect and that you can still be successful in life even if things don’t go exactly as planned!

10 Things I Hate About You

“10 Things I Hate About You” is a romantic comedy starring Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger. It was based on the play “Taming of the Shrew,” written by William Shakespeare. The movie takes place in modern times, unlike its original source material, so you won’t need to worry about dressing up like it’s 1599 when watching this classic film!

The movie follows two sisters who are complete opposites: Kat Stratford (Stiles) is a free-spirited teenager who spends most of her time hanging out with her friends Patrick Verona (Ledger) and Cameron James; Bianca Stratford is an overachiever who has never had any trouble getting into college because of her perfect grades and SAT scores. When Bianca finds out that she has been accepted at Princeton University–but not if she doesn’t find herself a boyfriend first–Kat offers to help by setting her up with someone from school named Joey Donner…but when Bianca meets him for real at their high school homecoming dance, he turns out not only be totally wrong for her but also extremely annoying!

Can’t Buy Me Love (1987)

Can’t Buy Me Love is a 1987 comedy film starring Patrick Dempsey and Amanda Peterson. It’s about a guy who buys the love of a girl by buying her expensive things, but soon finds out that it’s not enough to keep her interested in him forever.

The movie was based on the book by Todd Strasser, which was also used as inspiration for another movie called 10 Things I Hate About You (1999).

Empire Records

Empire Records is a 1995 teen film written and directed by Allan Moyle, starring Renee Zellweger, Robin Tunney, Rory Cochrane, Ethan Embry, Johnny Whitworth and Anthony LaPaglia.

The story concerns a group of employees at an independent record store in North Carolina who try to prevent the store from being taken over by a large chain store called Music Town.

Can’t Hardly Wait

Can’t Hardly Wait is a 1998 comedy film directed by Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont. The film stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr., Seth Green and Peter Facinelli as high school students who prepare for their graduation party.

The film was released to mixed reviews from critics but was a box office success grossing $16 million against its $12 million budget

Bulworth

Bulworth is a 1998 American political satire comedy film directed by Warren Beatty, who also wrote the screenplay, which was based on an earlier draft by him and Howard Korder. The plot revolves around Senator Jay Billington Bulworth (Warren Beatty), a Democrat from California who has sold out to the political establishment and become a lackey for big business and wealthy lobbyists. Bulworth decides to launch one last campaign based on his real beliefs: he will say whatever he wants no matter how offensive or controversial it may be, with no regard for what others think of him.

Bulworth was produced under the working title “Untitled Warren Beatty Project”; it received mixed reviews but was praised for its strong performances, particularly those by Beatty himself as well as Halle Berry, who earned nominations at both the Golden Globe Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role.*

Boys Don’t Cry

Boys Don’t Cry is an American film based on the real-life story of Brandon Teena, a transgender man who was raped and murdered in Humboldt, Nebraska in 1993. It stars Hilary Swank as Brandon Teena, a young woman who passes herself off as a man to avoid discovery by her acquaintances and family members. The film also features Chloë Sevigny as Lana Tisdel; Peter Sarsgaard as John Lotter; Brendan Sexton III as Tom Nissen; and Dennis O’Hare as Tom’s brother Wade. The film was directed by Kimberly Peirce and written by Andy Bienen (who also wrote Boys Don’t Cry) based on his friend’s life story. Boys Don’t Cry won the National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Cinematography.[1] The Golden Globe Award went to Swank,[2] while Sevigny won Best Actress at both the Independent Spirit Awards[3] and Satellite Awards.[4]

Say Anything.

Say Anything… is a 1989 romantic comedy film written by Cameron Crowe and directed by Cameron Crowe. It stars John Cusack as Lloyd Dobler, Ione Skye as Diane Court, and John Mahoney as her father Jim Court. The story follows Lloyd, who uses the power of music and romance to win over the girl of his dreams (Diane) after she dumps him for another man.

The movie features music from Bruce Springsteen’s album Tunnel Of Love; including songs “One Step Up” and “Tougher Than The Rest”. It also features The Smiths’ song “Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want”.

Dazed and Confused

  • In a small Texas town in 1976, a group of high school students are facing the last day of their final year at their school. They’re just hanging out and having fun, but what they don’t know is that this is going to be one hell of a night!
  • The movie stars Matthew McConaughey (who won an Oscar for his role), Ben Affleck (who became famous after starring in Good Will Hunting) and Milla Jovovich (the model turned actress). Other cast members include Anthony Rapp from Rent fame; Rory Cochrane who played Ron Woodruff in Dazed And Confused; Adam Goldberg who starred alongside Seth Rogen in Pineapple Express; Sasha Jenson who played Christian Slater’s girlfriend in Pump Up The Volume; Shawn Andrews who played Chris Klein’s best friend in Election; Jason London as Randall “Pink” Floyd from Mallrats

Reality Bites

Reality Bites is a 1994 romantic comedy film that stars Winona Ryder and Ethan Hawke. It was written by Helen Childress and produced by James L. Brooks, Lawrence Bender and Bob Weinstein.

The film follows the lives of four friends living in Houston, Texas who are struggling to find their way in life while working at a local video store (which is actually called “Reality Bites”).

It’s an excellent film that has become iconic in its own right–so much so

I hope that you enjoyed this list of 90s movies and that it has inspired you to watch some of them. I know that when I think back on my childhood, a lot of it is tied up with these movies and their iconic characters. If there’s anything else from this decade that we missed out on discussing here today then please let us know in the comments section below!
