As you can see, a lot of changes have happened with daily posts on Instagram but as promised blog posts every week twice. Creating blog posts is fun, but what’re more videos. Yup, I have been promising for a while, but I wasn’t ready to go on the adventure right now with youtube and podcasts, therefore, thank you for waiting.

I get many questions like what is Shonen and Seinen and why so here are the basics to explain hope.

Anime and Manga

1. Shonen 

It means β€œFew years” Shonen mostly referred to young boys under the age of fifteen. This is why Shonen anime and manga are aimed at that demographic. Many of these anime and manga include a young male hero and are focused on action, adventure, and fighting.  However comedies and series with female characters have become more common in the series.  some popular Shonen anime and manga are dragon ball, bleach, naruto, one-piece, watamote.


2. Seinen

Seinen refers to young men between the ages of 15-24 This genre tends to be more thiller and more violent, and  there is a comedy, as well as photography which is why this is for older audience anime that are in these, are: Bresek  ghost in shell Akira Hellsing Grantz


3. Shojo

Shojo is translated into young girls between the ages of ten to eighteen; they tend to focus on romance. They always had a female lead also we see a bit of action, and popular adventure anime in this genre are NANA, Sailor Moon, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Fushigi Yuugi, and Ouran High School Host Club.


4. Josei

Josei is more realistic in the sense which goes into drama and older women. Sometimes it covers dark subjects that we see in real life. most of these series feature pretty men some of the most famous Josei series: are loveless paradise kiss honey and clover.


5. Kodomomuke

Kodomomuke means children that are generally imaginative and instruct genuinely and other important to young kids; sometimes, they are original stories, and sometimes they are adapted from western literature. Some work included Doraemon, Hello Kitty, Chibi Maruko-chan, Heidi, Girl of the Alps, Anne of Green Gables, and Anpanman.
