Nagisa Aragaki from the Badminton Ayano Hanesaki. When we first see Nagisa, she seems rather irritable and self-centered, worried that she is only part of the team. She later apologizes to the team for her attitude, promising to help them get to the national tournaments. Nagisa is a gifted player, mainly due to her physical prowess in running and jumping, although due to her height in play, she can injure her knee. Despite actually being an explorer and fighter, Ozena’s regal appearance and personality make her look more like a dark queen.

Sakaki from the Azumanga Dayo is another character who dislikes her body, especially her height compared to her friends. When she’s not worried about her growing body, Sakaki’s personality shines, revealing her love for cats. Risa is a loud and impulsive person who secretly struggles with her own self-doubt.

10. Ayaka Kagari

Ayaka Kagari from the Witch at Work. With a steadfast expression on her face almost always, Ayaka rules her school, although she herself does nothing. She is a very unusual girl, much taller than everyone around her, and shows an interest in sword fighting, professional wrestling, and kabuki. It is her mission to protect Honoka, and she does so imperiously, worrying every second that she cannot keep an eye on him.
