Director of Jujutsu Kaisen Leaves MAPPA To Launch Own Animation Studio.
It seems like Studio Mappa is in the news almost every other month. Sometimes, it is for bad reasons, like when workers complain about being overworked, other times for good reasons, like opening a new CGI studio. It appears that a major employee of the anime company is leaving the studio, so Mappa has once again become a topic of discussion in the anime community.
Director Sunghoo Park has worked with Mappa Studio on projects such as Jujutsu Kaisen and The God of Highschool anime. In March 2021, Sunghoo Park founded a new animation studio called ‘E&H Production’, which currently has 10 employees. They recently released a recruitment announcement revealing that they are looking for new talent

In their introduction, the company also stated that they would like to challenge original animation works and new production processes, not just traditional animation, and intend to shoot in the fields of game engines, VR, and real shooting.
Sunghoo directed both season 1 and the Jujutsu Kaisen movie 0. Sunghoo Park is rumored to be directing Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 but it has not been confirmed yet. In this case, Sunghoo worked for Mappa as a freelancer, not a permanent employee.
