The best-rated anime, Oshi no Ko, has been dethroned

For a while, My Anime List’s (MAL) top-rated anime was the anime adaptation of the Aka Akasaka manga series, but it seems that this streak is over. The previous leader in the ratings, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, has reclaimed the top spot.
One of the most watched anime shows this season is Doga Koba Studios’ Oshi no Ko. In addition to being HIDIVE’s biggest premiere, its first 90-minute special episode’s theme song “Idol” became the season’s most-watched opening. The huge popularity of the first episode helped the ratings reach an astounding 9.21/10
The slower speed of subsequent episodes compared to the beginning of the series, however, contributed to the anime’s ratings gradually falling as new ones were broadcast. Currently, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood has a rating of 9.10/10 on MAL, while Oshi no Ko has a score of 9.09/10.
Numerous series have been first on MAL in recent years, including Attack on Titan, Kaguya Sama: Love Is War, and Fruits Basket. None of them, though, has been able to hold this position for very long.
On the other hand, since its conclusion, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood has continuously ranked first
Although Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood’s popularity is unquestionable, some fans have claimed that in an effort to maintain the status of their favorite program, its followers have given other top-ranking anime series a rating of 1/10.
